Privacy policy
How personal information you send us by email is collected, used and protected.
Last updated:
1. Who we are
This website, ryanbabbage.ai (the “website”), is operated by Ryan Babbage (“we”, “us”). For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].
2. What we collect
When you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, which may include your name, organisation, contact details and enquiry. We use this information to assess and respond to your enquiry. Please do not send confidential technical information or personal identity documents in an initial enquiry.
Technical information processed by our service providers to deliver and protect the website, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and approximate country.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookie-free tool that collects aggregate visit data (such as page views, referring sites, country and device type) with no cookies and no personal tracking. It does not identify you and we do not build profiles of visitors. We do not use advertising or tracking tools.
3. How we use it
We use your information to:
- reply to your enquiry and decide on any next step
- pass your enquiry to the venture it concerns, where that is needed to respond
- keep the website secure and prevent spam and abuse
- keep records needed to meet our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list or use your details for marketing.
4. Who we share it with
We share your information only as needed to run the website and reply to you:
- Cloudflare, Inc. – website hosting, security and Cloudflare Web Analytics (aggregate, cookie-free visit statistics)
- Cloudflare Email Routing (Cloudflare, Inc.) – email sent to [email protected] is received and forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the inbox Ryan uses for enquiries
- the provider of that inbox – where enquiries are read and answered
Ventures. Ryan’s ventures are separate businesses. If your enquiry concerns OceanMerge®, OceanBlocks®, MindGo or Stacked Up, we may pass it to that business so it can respond; it will then handle your information under its own privacy terms. We may also share information with professional advisers, or where the law requires it.
These providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, the European Union and Australia. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Enquiries that lead to an engagement or investor discussion: for as long as the relationship lasts, and then for the period the law requires.
- Security logs held by our hosting provider: according to that provider’s standard retention.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you, and correct it
- ask us to delete it, or restrict or object to how we use it
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect earlier use)
- receive your information in a portable form
To make a request, email [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the relevant regulator, for example the UAE Data Office, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), or your local data-protection authority.
7. Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
8. Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Our visit statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free. See the cookie notice.
9. Children
This website is not directed at people under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
